Latch Hook Project and Other Items

Last week I started a latch hook project which is coming along very well. I’m almost to the halfway mark, and wanted to share some pictures that was taken along the way.

In case you haven't guessed, it will be of a rainbow trout when it's completed.  :O)

Before starting my latch hook project I completed a needlepoint project that my husband has confiscated, advised that he would be framing it and hanging it in the house. So needless to say I won’t be putting it up for sell, but wanted to share a picture of it.

Last and behold my son bought me a different type of dream catcher, it is so beautiful, and I wanted to share it.

Have a wonderful day!!!

New Treasuries

I checked out the new Treasury East, and made a couple of Treasuries. When you get a chance check them out, and show all the wonderful artists some love. They are the Wooden Treasures and Crittering Treasuries. Hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Have a wonderful day!!!!!

I recently joined and started a new shop with Zibbet. So far I only have three items listed in my shop, but I’m currently working on adding some new items this week. Be sure to check out Zibbet, and if you decide to join please use my Zibbet’s image link located in my sidebar or the links below so I will be your referral to the site. I could use the $1/month discount they're offering for each new member being referred. :O)

They have two types of accounts available, the Basic or the Premium.
  • Basic accounts are totally FREE. They give you your own shop, web address, outstanding promotional tools and customer support, all for FREE. With a Basic account you can have up to 25 items in your shop at a time. When an item sells, you can replace it by listing another one. You can sell as many items as you want and you won't pay them a cent!
  • Premium accounts are $8/month (limited number available at this special price). You can upgrade to a full-featured Premium account at any time, and enjoy the freedom of listing as many items as you want, plus the flexibility of having full control over the customization of your shop's color theme, and layout.

Newest Creations

Over the last several days I've been fiddling around with some yarn and felt. During this time I've happened to have completed my latest creations. Here are some pictures of the newest critters.....

Pinky

Hope everyone had a very nice weekend. Mine was busy. We did manage to get our garden finished and planted. :O) Now we're working on getting the pile of dirt that was delivered on Friday spread out in areas where it is desperately needed. In between working on the garden and dirt pile, I did manage to clip Sugar Bear's hair short so she is a happy camper.

Last night I managed to get started on another project, which is doing a latch hook item. It is a fish picture, so I will be working on it for a few days while deciding on what to do next.

That is all that's going on here, so until next time.....Have a great day!!!!

Beautiful Purple Flowers

While strolling the yard yesterday, I stumbled across some Irises. They were a wonderful purple color, and just stood out against the green of the plants. I took some pictures, and wanted to share with all of you. Hope you enjoy some beauty of Spring.

Start of Another Week

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Things were good here. I still haven't started any new projects, since I still haven't quite decided what I want to start working on yet. I have a few things that I would like to do, but haven't quite figured out how to go about it. Still thinking about it, and getting it all planned out so hopefully soon I'll be getting started.

We did manage to get the garden area just about ready for planting, due to my husband doing a lot of it while I was at work last week. Probably in about a week, we will have it all completed. I also did some work out in the front yard, pulling some weeds and checking the plants. They are finally starting to sprout some new growth, so they survived the last cold spell which was a delight to see. I'm still not sure about all the plants in my green house. I did have some new ones that were finally starting to sprout again, but still not sure about the last few. I will let them be for now, and hopefully they are just being some late bloomers. If not, I will replace them with some new plants so it will not be all bad.

I'm still thinking about another giveaway, and deciding which route to go. It might be an item I have made, or it could be an item that someone else has made. Once it has been decided on I will get it moving along. I've seen where one person is doing the giveaway, and once the winner is selected the individual providing the item would ship it to the winner. It's something for you to think about, if you would be interested in participating just let me know.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.......

Just Fiddling Around

Recently was out trimming trees, and plants getting them ready for spring. Not sure at this time how many have been lost from the last cold spell we had. Good thing is that some have already started spouting again. :O) While out trimming, I happened to keep some of the limbs for future projects once I decide what they will be. LOL. I did manage to fiddle around with one since I haven’t quite decided what my next item to make will be. Right now I’m having a hard time deciding what I want to start making, so I’ve just been fiddling around with things for now.

Now back to my limb I’ve been fiddling around with. I took and sanded it down till it was nice and smooth. I then took some maple color wood stain, and wiped it down till I got the perfect color. Once the stain dried completely, I took some gold and black paint which I painted the tip gold with black stripes.

Once the paint was all dried, I then sealed it with polyurethane and let it dry. Then I took some leather, wrapped it around the end to give it a leather grip handle.

Leather Grip Handle

By now it was looking pretty good, well at least to me it was. LOL. My husband happened to call it the “Leather Grip Poter Wand”. Well, haven’t quite decided what to call it. I had thought about calling it something like the “Indian Leather Grip Hand Stick” but the name is still in limbo for now. :O) Not really sure what I will do with it, if I will do anything with it at all. Right now it seems to have taken up housing on top of the antique desk as a display item. Let me know what you think, and try not to be too hard on me since it is the first time I’ve attempted doing something like this. Just joking, let me have all your honest opinions no matter what you have to say. It’ll help out when I do other projects down the line. :O)
